    Please Note:
    Damstra Mining Services are no longer accepting EFT payments for any transaction prior to invoicing. Alternative payment options are: Purchase Order, cheque (must supply a cheque with paperwork), & credit card. Upon receipt of invoice by your company, EFT payments are accepted.

    The process used to book inductions has changed. Please read the process outline detailed in this document.

    Please Note:
    All contractors that are required to work at the wash plant MUST complete the CHPP maintenance SOPs as part of the Newlands OC induction. Failure to complete these SOPs will result in contractors being unable to complete work at the CHPP.


    The Newlands mines are owned by the NCA Joint Venture whose beneficial owners are Xstrata Coal Queensland Ltd and Itochu Corporation. The mines are operated by Xstrata Coal Queensland Pty Ltd. The mines are located 130 km west of Mackay.


    Friday Open Cut Inductions take place in Mackay at the following address:

    Please note: Enclosed footwear must be worn.

    Please be advised;

    1) Lunch is not provided on day of induction so please ensure attendees provide their own.

    2) All procedures relevant to Newlands Coal are in force throughout the induction process, this includes the Fitness for Work procedure (incorporating Drug & Alcohol, Fatigue and Psychological Impairment).

    3) Ensure relevant PPE is worn (onsite only) – work clothes, safety boots, helmet and glasses.

    Pre-Induction Checklist:- Must be read to ensure that you are familiar with, & comply with these requirements.

    Contractor Details Form:- Must be supplied completed.

    Induction Request Form:- Must be supplied completed.

    Damstra Mining Services Paperwork

    To simplify information collection & to reduce the number of forms required, the Company Details form is now only required for companies that have not registered with Damstra Mining Services previously or if you need to update your company details.

    Use the Company Change form if you were previously registered with Damstra Mining Services under a different company name, & are simply transferring to a new company name.

    If you require a replacement card, please fill in a Replacement Card Request Form.


    Note: All of the above paperwork & details must be received no later than 4 business days prior to the induction date (unless specified by the site). No bookings are made until all paperwork is received. Every skill that has been requested by an individual must be backed up with all the recognised paperwork for that skill, eg. Trade Papers, Degree, & Letters of Competency.

    For any variation to this site's process, you are required to contact your Site Task Coordinator.


    There is a fee payable for all persons who fail to attend their induction without prior notification by the close of business the day before the induction.
