The process used to book inductions has changed. Please read the process outline detailed in this document.
Please Note:
Information for Xstrata Coal NSW Contractors regarding the Induction Challenge Test can be found in this letter. An outline of the process involved in completing the Induction Challenge Test can be downloaded here.
As of the 16th October 2011, the Mt Owen Coal Handling Preparation Plant (CHPP) is now an XStrata site.
All current Thiess inductions will no longer be recognised & anyone wishing to attend the Mt Owen CHPP will need to hold a current Generic XStrata induction as well as a Mt Owen CHPP site familiarisation.
(The Mt Owen Mine remains a Thiess site & the induction process for the mine has not changed).
The Mt Owen CHPP will be holding their site familiarisations (on site) every Tuesday morning as of 8/5/2012 starting at 9am & running for approximately 30 mins.
To attend a site familiarisation, you must have all of the correct, required paperwork to Damstra Mining Services at least 5 full business days prior to the proposed familiarisation date.
(Once Damstra Mining Services has received & then processed all correct paperwork, you will receive a confirmation e-mail to the nominated e-mail address. Please contact Damstra Mining Services if you do not receive this confirmation or if you receive this confirmation or if you receive a rejection notification).
To see exactly how the process works, please refer to the below flowchart.
