Process Change Communication |
Dear Valued Customer,
Damstra Mining Services continues to develop its process’s
and services to provide all its stakeholders with optimal customer service.
Working together, through active feedback received from our customers our model
of continual improvement is relentless. Our aim is to continually evolve our
services to become increasingly efficient, effective and user friendly for our
customers.
DMS received feedback around the Xstrata Familiarisation
Registration Form.
Customer Feedback:
- that the fee structure was confusing when working out months times a
dollar amount
- the Site Familiarisation expiry in line with the Generic Induction is
limiting. As it may require contractors to re-familiarise within 1 to 2 month,
therefore increasing costs and wasting valuable time.
DMS has taken this on board and in conjunction with
Xstrata Corporate the process has been amended to alleviate the above issues.
DMS is now providing the ability to nominate Familiarisation registration
annually or 3 yearly only (not by the month) with the expiration date being at
the anniversary of the Familiarisation. It will be independent of the Generic
expiry date which will save both time and money for you. (please note that an
expired generic will still stop a familiarisation from being active on a
site)
A new Xstrata Familiarisation Registration Form is now
available on the Damstra website with the new fee process that you are able to
access immediately. To allow for the change of process, the old forms will be
accepted until March 1st, and entered as per the previous process and
fee structure, following this date they will be rejected. The new fee structure
commences from today 8th Feb 2011.
Please do not hesitate to contact DMS if you require any
further clarification.
Regards,
